I have an 07 E61, mfg'd May of 06. Reading from the BMW site, it said traffic information update is available for cars made after September 06.
Does anyone know if there is any dealer update that can enable this feature for older cars? (North America)

BMW decided not to offer a retrofit. That doesn't mean that you couldn't figure what all the parts are the are required and have them installed. It's not incidental though.
