I have a 2004 530 and my freind just got a new 335 with the traffic guidance system. It is amazing! Is there any way i can retrofit my car with this system with a part and some software update? I'm assuming its not that complex... Thanks for your help!

It would be very complex and BMW does not support a retrofit for Traffic information.

 

It would be SWEET if that retrofit can be done.

 

You can buy a portable aftermarket GPS or cell phone GPS which will give you traffic info. A lot cheaper solution than built-in IMHO. Plus you can carry it with you on foot and use in other vehicles.

 

I use my iPhone to check traffic status. sometimes it gets a lil dangerous while driving on the freeway.
