Why is there a traffic info option on the setup screen, that I can not access?

Traffic?
Is that BMW?
I know, 2005 Acura RL has active traffic info.. but never heard BMW has one yet.. and didn't see any traffic info set up in my i drive..

It is there, try the I-Drive Main Menu, Communications Settings/BMW Service, and you will see a Traffic Info Option unchecked.

I believe this is the answer to the Traffic Info question. Once you activate this feature in BMW Assist, then they turn on the feature and the box will appear with a check mark. As stated in the brochure, the first time is free, and after that they bill your credit card $4.95 for each inquiry.
