Does anyone with a US car have traffic info? I noticed this option in BMW Assist but it is not checked, nor will it allow me to select it and turn it on. I've tried selecting "update services" but it still stays unchecked.

I sent mail to BMW NA and they told me that this option was available and to read my manual for instructions on how to turn it on (they told me page 127-130). I don't see this information in the manual. They told me if it didn't work to contact my BMW center for service.

Does anyone have this working?

Thanks,
-Rob

Not here, Rob. Interesting, too. In the .pdf copy of the manual that I downloaded over six months ago, page 127 is as you say with the instructions. But in my (5 4597 AP) hard copy (01 41 0 158 159 ue) there is no page 127. On my screen, there is no Traffic Info in the menu.

I understand that this service is out in a bunch of other countries, but it just hasn't taken off in the US yet. BMW Assist says that they will have a bunch of new services available this summer...

Re: new services, that's great to hear. Did you call BMW Assist about this? Did they give you any clue as to what they were going to offer?

I know that if the services were worthwhile, such as traffic tied into the nav system, I would definitely continue to pay $240/year to renew. As it stands now, I can't see paying that just for what they offer.

Thanks,

Beware of what BMW Assist tells you. The day I activated, the voice assured me that I had a full size spare.
