My dear old VW Passat (a truly wonderful car) had the possibility to have the stereo on, but completely muted except the traffic announcements. In other words you could drive in blissful silence, or chatting to a passenger and only the traffic announcements would come on the radio. Surely i can do this with the E60 can't I? I have, I'm afraid, the standard radio.

Advice please.

Thanks to the guy who told me how to mute the announcements when they do come on.

Just turn down the volume completely when listening to the radio when there?s no TP message on
The TP traffic info has a separate volume and will come on when needed
TP volume is set and remembered during when a TP message is on
