Traffic announcements - How to mute??

I have the standard radio fitted. I know I can turn the TP option on or off through the i-drive, but what I really want is to leave TP switched on, then if I decide I don't need to hear a particular announcement when it comes on I can just hit a button and revert to the CD or whatever. Can I do this?

Just hit the button on your steering wheel once.
The one on the right hand side (up / down), next to the two programmable buttons.
It mutes the TP announcement and takes you back to the CD, what got paused for the TP. I do that all the time.
