I was the fastest in my class in an M3 at M School in Spartanburg, SC a couple of months ago. They are really special cars.

I'll have to hit you up for some driving tips then!!! I was concerned about being 6' 3" and the smaller interior but it was not a problem, at least for the first test drive.

Here's the tip- if you feel like you had a slow run then that one will probably be your fastest. Nice and fluid through turns is faster than scrubbing speed off with drifts and power slides.

Olivine grey, can you post a pic of that color.

Congrats on the purchase, when do you get delivery. I do love the AMG kit on the E coupe, looks very sexy.
And do let us know if the seats are more comfortable than then 5er seats. A friend of mine is looking into one but not a cabriolet.
Finally found some pictures if you are interested in seeing. http://www.mercedesbenzofhuntsville....unch%20Edition
I picked it up about a week ago.

Interesting exterior colour. I like it. Especially love the interior since its identical to my 535i (Natural Brown--aka peanut butter).
Enjoy.

Oh WOW... You really don't see much of that color. Truly exquisite. I couldn't agree more with you with going with that car. It looks .... WOW.

Thank you for the pics Pannetta. After a few weeks of ownership, any feedback?

Were you able to try the new F10 i-drive? How is it compared to your E? if not, can you compare the E with your past E60 i-drive?

And that boot is so spacious.

With full honesty, Bravo to your decision.

You're like the last person on this board I'd expect to go to a Benz, but then again, I feel you on the F10 too. I really dig the E Class vert, saw one in white the other day with the AMG look - made me go to the dealership to check it out. Great build quality, interior feels very nice, love the leather and the stitching. A5/S5 - even if to some it may look better (not to me) - is really not up to par next to the E vert. Anyway, hope you love it and post some pics when you get the car. Good Luck!

I'd missed this thread first time around - belated congrats on the E550! It's a great looking car. As I am sure you know full well by now, it's tough to beat top-down driving.

Obviously a 6 Series convertible would be a more direct comparison, but as compared to the E60 it's surprisingly similar. It's quick, handles really great as I have it optioned and everything feels high quality. Where it's better is in the exhaust note which is pretty loud and throaty, it also allows more wheel spin before the traction control spoils the party. Where it's worse is the transmission shifts are fast but not as fast as the BMW Sport Auto. This is my first convertible and you do feel like a million bucks driving it.
