Hi folks! I am looking for opinions on wether to trade or not, I am upside down on this loan and the car is a 2006 530i with 127k miles.
Only issues are valve cover gasket, CCV, and the fuel filter housing is cracked, I have all these items except the filter.
I'm trying to decide and your opinions are valuable.
Thanks

If you're upside down on the loan, you want to choose which option that will return the highest bang for your buck. If you traded it in, what would you get? What would they give you for it? If you can't afford another Bimmer, you may later regret switching brands after having experienced your BMW. If you can afford to fix, I'd do it.

I was looking into a 2013 328i or a Lexus is 250 even a Honda Accord but the residual to add to the new loan will keep me upside down and it wouldn't make much sense.

It's always best to do whatever you can do to get out of debt. I agree that adding to it does not make sense. If you can do some of the work yourself, it is a no-brainer. I think you have your decision made. You're welcome.

Yea, thanks for your input, i'm going to fix what it needs and just wait for when I have some cash to offset the residual.
