Well it hasn't rained in a long time here, and as of a few days ago its been pouring like crazy. I didn't have a problem the last couple of days. I left the house this morning and left and about a mile away I got a i-drive error and my no traction control light came on. Any idea why this is and how I can fix it?
I took a picture.

I rely on the traction control quite a bit with the fast turns I always take, because I know I won't spin out. Now with this on I'm driving alot different.

ABS sensor playing up would be my guess, afaik it probably uses the same circuit.......
Inless you got a whole load more torque than me and BHP your car wont ever simply "spin" out, it gives you plenty of warning your over driving the car, I had a sudden deflation of the right rear tyre last friday at 100mph entering a fast uphill left hander and still managed to keep control, that was with ALL aids off as well.
In the wet on the other hand its a very different story , slow down

Interesting, I went to lunch and it doesn't show anymore. The strange thing was when that light was on the turn signal would not turn off when you turn. It would stay on and I manually had to hit it for it to go off.

Reviving old thread. Got this error while driving today. Turned the car off then back on. Error came back on. Left the car off for about 2 hours and drove it without an error. Can anyone shed some more light on this. I'm going to try to get a friend to check the code for me. 04 545i.

Without diagnostic codes, it'll just be guess work.

In my experience any one of the 4 wheels lost traction which set the system off. It is reset when you stop the engine and restart. Hesitate about 30 sec's before restart.
There will be no codes or at least codes not related to the condition.
