TPMS sensors

Will i have any problems if i change to afftermarket wheels with no TPMS sensors. Will that affect the computer sending a signal out.

You will get an error message on your dash board. It will be on constantly and there is no way to turn it off.

Could just buy a second set from one of the forum sponsors... I think they run in the $200-300 range for a full set.

Tirerack.com sells for $200 plus necessary valves, afterk-market ones. They work fine.

I just ordered them for my 550i from Tire Rack. Price was $176. including shipping. The dealer wanted more then double that.

Did you have to do anything in order to recognize the new sensors? It's not clear to me how the car pairs with the sensors, and I don't see mention of it in the manual.
