Driving home yesterday my "flat tire" warning came on so I checked it then parked the car overnight in my garage. It looked fine this morning so I drove it to a meeting with the warning on.On the way back I decided to go to the dealer, they checked it out , no flat (obviously) , no leak. I got them to check the pressure and they found 1lb under in the front right and 2 lb over on the front left, this due I suspect to having the left front rim repaired last week. Do you think this minor amount of pressure difference should cause the warning to come on . Seems overly sensitive to me .
Cheers

I think that it is pretty good to notice the differences. What it is picking up is an overall lack of balance. This means that your ride is being affected. Your wear on tires is also being affected.
There could be more to it, however, with your particular sensor. Which one went off? Was that the one that was 2lb. over?

It was just the general flat tire warning, it was not tire specific.
Thanks

This sounds more like a sensor failure. If one tire is low in pressure, that tire is usually singled out by the sensors and shown on your i-drive.
Cheers
The newer model e60's, I think 06 or 07 plus have individual sensors for each tire... Where as older e60's had sensors that just gave a flat tire warning, which did not distiguish which tire is flat according to what I have heard.
