[/quote]Thanks. I have done that - in all possible combinations of AUTO and non-AUTO between TP and TMC. If I turn OFF TMC, I get a list of possible stations to select as main TP station or AUTO. If I turn ON TMC, I only get the AUTO option in TP. Either way - I do not get Traffic Messages unless I am tuned in on a station that transmits such messages. I have CIP 16.2.

I have the same problem. Basically if the TP indicator is not on then the TP announcement will not be heard, despite the fact that the checkbox has been ticked.
The only station here that has TP is CLASSIC FM and if you tune to it the TP indicator will show up. Not much use as if you are listening to Classic then you will gwt the report anyway.
In cars with Pro Nav etc. it does work properly, I had a loaner here it worked fine.

l have set Classic FM to TP but still no luck.
I did have the TP box checked on a few other stations. I will uncheck those & leave only Classic checked. If this doesn't work I'll wait for v.19 & get dealer to upgrade.
By the way, my M172 rims arrived today

On my car the TP is a general setting, not per station. So, once it's set, it's set for all stations.
You only get to see the TP symbol when tuned to Classic.
