Is it possible to tow one of the those small uhaul trailers with an e60 525i?

If it is possible, then how do you do it

Thanks in advance

Yes. There is a hook at your rear bumper. I tow a car once. But there is a cap on this hook so look at the right bottom side there must be an arrow press on that and there is the towing hook inside. (525 should be the same)

The tow hook and trailer hitch reviever are two different things. I'm not aware of anyone in the US who has used their E60 to tow a trailer with. However, some of our EU friends do have access and the vehicle is setup to tow. You just need to find a place who will sell you a reciever and then get the wiring done.

Yes, this is true.

The trailer hitch reviever is atleast in EU is a normal assessory but not for the M5.

The part number in EU is 71 60 6 771 213 (for sure not the same in US).

And please note, that the wiring is really critical so therefore I recommend that you
contact you dealer for both the reviever and installation.
