I took my wheels off and getting ready to put them back on. Anyone know the torque that needs to be on the wheel bolts? I called my dealership and the guy told me that they don't set it they just use an impact wrench. I googled it and found onse site that said 88 ft-lbs but wanted some other advise.

As far as I know that is about right. I've heard 120Nm which is 88 ft-lbs.

Yes that is correct. Most tend to over tighten it, unfortunately...

I always hand-tighten them with the tool that's in the trunk. I turn until they all fit nice and snug. My thinking is that they shouldn't be so tight that you can't get the bolts off when pulled over on the side of the road.

Torque them, drive for a few days and check them again.

Wheel to hub torque = 120 ± 10 Nm or 89 ± 7 ft-lb as per the Bentley5 Series Service Manual (p. 310-35) .

Every car I've owned has had a wheel lug torque spec of 90 ft-lb +/-2, in line with all comments above.
