Tighter than mine when it was supplied new It's always the 1st maintenance item I check!

I'm not sure about the BMW recommended setting, but I normally tighten wheel nuts to 80 Nm.

BMW lists the spec at 120 Nm (plus or minus 10 Nm).

http://forums.e60.net/index.php?s=&showtop...indpost&p=38029

That converts to 88.50745454 foot pounds according to the following site:

Cheers Rudy Probably best if I tighten mine a little! Amazingly all 20 bolts were no more than 20 Nm when I received the car from the dealer!!!!

They should be checked after some 500 km driven!

Me too.

Was on a business trip today driving 400 km and for the first time this
year the speed limit on the freeway was upto 120 km/h (usually 100 in
the winter time).

Did on cruise mode more than 50 km's in 144 (90 mph)!

My winter tyres are really great and so is the car!

Even too good, almost got asleep...
