Hello,
Earlier today, I posted this under a not so applicable previous post.My transmission (05 545) would kick back when accelerating slowly between 30 & 40 mph. Dealer diagnosed it as a problem w/ the Torque Converter and recommended a new transmission. The transmission is coming from BMW and he stated that all inside is new. My question is...Is the mechatronics inside of the transmission...or is there a chance this will need to be replaced later? If it is not inside of the transmission... is there a chance they misdiagnosed?

Curious what you all think.
Thanks,

get a 2nd opinion first unless you're still under warranty then go ahead and let them replace whatever. I believe the mechatronics is inside the transmission, you can see it when you remove the pan.
