It's a slow Sunday afternoon and here's how I've been spending it. My car finished production on 12/7 and arrived at the port Thursday. so I go to the Wallenius-Wilhelmsen schedule site just to play around and see if I could determine when my car might be shipped and when it might arrive. This is assuming the car is shipped by W-W. I punched in all ships with a departure after 12/12 and arrival at New york by 12/31. Three ships met the criteria:
Maersk Teal; Depart Bremerhaven12/13, arrive New York12/23.
Tristan; Depart 12/14, arrive 12/25
Atlantic Conveyor; Depart 12/14, arrive 12/29.
Of all the ships, the one most likely is Tristan because it is the only one to stop at Southhampton, then New york, then to South Carolina(most likely mainly car cargo). Assuming I'm correct and assuming this will be the shipping carrier, my car arrives New york 12/25, unloads 12/27, gets to VPC by 12/30, and, barring any damage repair, gets on the truck for delivery to dealer(Pennsylvania) by Monday1/03. Like I said, extreme assumptions all around, but nevertheless fun. Whattayathink?
