Looks like one picture that you don't have in your arsenal.
Yep... That's a gotcha...
But I do have pics of the TMC logo on nav pro...

TMC worked perfectly on my car with BUS NAV in Sweden.

Have now upgraded to PROF NAV.

e60525d, do a search.

You will find that skidster has posted many threads and had many conversations with his dealer about the lack of functioning TMC on his Business Nav in the UK.

All I can say is good luck to you

I've just read an article about TMC and that there were changes made beginning of the year on the signal (I think it was the coding or something). They said TMC is now better than before.
Since the signal has changed the nav disc need to be updated to work perfect.
That means that there is some kind of software on the nav disc espacially for the TMC.
I really don't know if that has something to do with it. But maybe the problem is the nav disc...

Iceman, this is what I have been saying all along. My theory is that later versions of the business Nav disk will contain the correct coding for the UK.

After all, you can drive a car with business nav over the channel today, and TMC will start working on it.

That was new to me.
I thought it's in the idrive software. But this article is proof that there is some TMC software on the nav disc and something has been changed beginning of the year.

The only question unanswered is, is that the reason for the non-functioning TMC in the UK ?

I guess time will tell...

From the link above....
RDS-TMC sends live, real-time traffic information to the satellite navigation system - automatically, 24 hours a day. Information is sent via an FM radio signal that can be received even if the car radio is switched off.
Since RDS is disabled in v.12 software is TMC also disabled? Any US Spec cars in Europe with TMC working?

Last time my dealer e mailed BMW UK they said they were working on resolving software conflict and expected to have software upgrade available to add TMC in the UK by late 2004 or early 2005.

having never heard/seen TMC in action in the UK will it help us much on our crappy road network ?? anyone who's used it comment, interested to know.

or does it just state the obvious like most traffic warning systems seem to do:

"The M1 is closed, I can work out alternative routes using my GPS brain but I can guarantee you they will all be gridlocked in every directions and you'll be sat in this car for at least an extra 2hrs"
