I agonized over TS vs. Orient Blue for our recent order. The more I see the photos of the TS, the more I'm wondering if I made the right decision. I generally don't like gray on cars, but the TS is bright enough and has a luminesence that makes it stand out from other gray colors. I think its a good choice from an asthetics or practical point of view.

I'm happy with Titanium Silver. Would probably do it again. There is a reason that it is such a popular color. Besides, there was a New Zealand color study announced over a year ago that concluded it was the safest color for a vehicle.

One Link to the study.

I had two previous black E39s which looked fantastic for all of 5 minutes after I cleaned them. I fancied a change with my Titanium Silver E60 and I absolutely love the colour. Yep it may not be very exclusive but at least I get to drive it more than clean it. Also I think the colour depends on location, I think Silver does look good in the typical UK climate IMHO and at night under streetlighting.

I seem to remember (or maybe I was smoking something!) reading that the E60 designer was trying to recreate the effect of a taught skin over a ribbed sub structure as you might see on an air ship in his design of the body panels. Silver was quite a common colour for airships

I love TiS on my 2003 330i, my 545 (on order) - I went for the Silver Gray - liked its blueish tint. I also didn't want to get the same color that I have had for the last 3 years.

I agree black is an awesome color but a real pain to keep clean. When its clean nothing looks better, but that lasts for about 2 hours after you wash it. It also shows so many swirl marks in the right (wrong) light.

its weird how everyone talks about seeing so many e60's in silver, but ive only seen one so far..ive seen 3 silver greys and 2 titanium greys in my town. If you look at the gallery on this site. i think i see like only 2 silver cars..i was thinking about the silver gry but went with silver because i saw so many greys in town. So believe it or not im getting silver to be different. I know that sounds weird..loll..

Titanium grey is the best color in my opinion. The color looks rich. Not sure why I think that!!!!!

Fellas, how many of us in the NY/NJ/CT area have Titanium Silver?

Last 5 cars have been TiS. Easy to take care of, don't show dirt, swirl marks or paint chips as readily as darker colors. For me, looks great and works.

Oh yea, my 530 xi order in production as I write this is surprise..... TiS!

Went with the Silver Gray on my 2005 530i, although I see far more Titanium Silver ones in the So. Calif. area. I think the Silver Gray looks richer, but that's just my opinion.

Since I was buying at the end of the model year, my dealer asked me to give him a couple of color choices....my answer:

1st Choice - Titanium Silver

2nd choice - Titanium Silver

3rd Choice - Titanium Silver

Although every time a see an e60 in Silver Gray, I wonder....it really is a great color....does it stay clean looking like TS?

Whoops! This string said tri-state area...sorry!

Well, I'm from the Jersey Shore...does that count?

Jersey Shore but of course!

Any member's input is welcome and counts. Whether it's tri-state or tri-time zone.
