I'm averaging 16K miles for this softer compound tire, but it's doing what it's designed for...keeping the vehicle glued to the road under any condition.

I also had them on my 1980 Celica GT back in high school too....sweet tires! Resurrected I guess.

And they are designed and made in Germany.

That would depend on the Michelins. I've used Michelin PS2s and they are just as soft as the Goodyear F1 GS-D3s.
