Hi, i'm new to this forum and i would like to say this has been a helpful forum. I have read all of your great inputs on helping other e60 owners on their cars.
This is my first post i like to ask what do you guys think, if you add a fix a flat to a run flat tire do you think it will affect the tire pressure monitor or no?
I have done a search and found no topic on fix a flat issues besides run flat issues. I have a 2004 545i jet black and this has been a great car i love this car. I have 42,000 miles on it no problems yet, done all the maintence at the dealer, and read almost every topic there is on this forum.
I will soon mod my car next year. Here's a picture, i took out the plates.

Welcome to the forum...nice pics.

To answer your question, Fix-A-Flat will not effect the pressure sensors since the sensors are actually part of the hub and detect wheel speed. How-ever, I would not recommend adding Fix-A-Flat as a long term remmody and only as a way to get you to the nearest tire dealer as soon as possible. Also, I'm not sure the integrety of the run-flats side walls are at 100% once you actually run flat on them.

I believe that RFTs are a one time deal. They're designed to get you home or somewhere safe. Afterwards, you will have to fork over some $$$ to replace them.
