My Ride: '04 530. Black on Black Black Grills Tint Ipod Retrofit June '10

I have the basic style 123's, with 225 50 r17's on them. I am looking into new tires and wanted to know what y'all are riding on. I have had many different suggestions by the tire guys here in town, everything from Pilot a/s's to Eagle gt's to Cooper something new. I would not mind having the ps2's, but then size is an issue. One place said the Gt's will leak due to poor sealing, another said going to the ps2's in a 245 40 r 17 would totally mess up the car. I fail to see that, as I have done that many a time, and found that the size difference is neglegable. anyway.... What say you?

If you're thinking about mounting larger tires on your stock 17" wheels the size that most closely matches the rolling radius of the stock 225's is a 275/40x17.

That size may or may not fit properly and clear suspension etc ...

And I'm also not sure that a tire that size will be a good match for the stock wheel width. Maybe a better ideal would be to look for a set of 18's or 19's wheels and the correct tire sizes for those wheel diameters.
