I just replaced the rear tires on my 550 after one of them went flat. It appeared that the tread began to separate on it's inside edge. Today I had the right side replaced. The very inside edge of the tire showed heavy, heavy wear (some separation of the tread had begun) while the rest of the tire looked OK. Is that just the way these suspensions are set up. I now know that I ran these runflats too long (22000 miles). I know better now. I guess what I'm asking is is it normal for the tires to wear out on their very inside edge? Thanks.

I believe that I have read posts here that the sport has 2 degrees of negative camber. Generally, negative camber will cause wearing on the inside of the tire. How many miles do you have on them?
I guess I better check mine, I am at 19,xxx on original RF's.

I ran them to 22000 miles. I know better than to go that long now. I've always driven trucks where I get 40 to 50K miles per set. I was just shocked that the absolute leading inside edge looked like it had been shaved off while the rest of the tire looked OK.
