Hi guys!
I have a quick question,
My car is in the garage because a friend wrecked it... anyway the frontal wheels are damaged unrepairably, so i need to put in new tires.
My question however is, when I bought the car it told me that DSC was off, be careful with driving. The previous owner told me this was because the tires weren't set right, he replaced the back ones with 'non-good' ones.
The current tires measurements are:
Frontal:
245/35/20
Back:
275/30/20
I asked BMW but they say they don't support 20" rims for the BMW 5 serie, but this car has the M5 ones?
So my question is, what are the right tire sizes for 20" rims?
I've also seen some other people using 20" rims on the forums, are u getting issues with your regulation system?
With kind regards,
Bobo

The correct size is 245/30/20 and 275/25/20. That will give the same outside diameter as your stock tires. However, most people like to run a higher sidewall on this forum and go with 245/35/20 275/30/20. I don't think I've heard of any issues running this.

Aha I see,
The guy at the garage however told me to get 285/30/20 but I'm confused, as I have 245/35/20 275/30/20 atm, does this mean something else is wrong with my car?

Have you looked at the placard when you open the door?
And as far as I know, the E60 M5 has 19" OEM wheels anyway!
And 20" shouldn't be a problem! Just get the right sizes, weight rating etc! Otherwise, your insurance may not give you insurance cover if you have an accident with wrong tyres!

I'm probably going to get these sizes then, did u do any other modifications on your car besides putting these on?
