I'm hoping you guys would help me in choosing the right tire from Performance, Comfort & Cost for my 545i. Please tell me which tire do you recommend from the below list and if you know a better tire that is not listed let me know. I was looking at TireRack but if you know of other places where I can find them at lower cost that would be good. Tire sizes 245/40R18 FRT & 275/35R18 RER

1. Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports
Potenza RE960
Potenza RE050A Pole Position
2. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus
3. ContiSport Contact2
4. Yokohama Advan Sport
Yokohama S.Drive
5. GoodYear Eagle F1
6. Proxes T1R

Thanks!

I like my Michelin Pilot A/S (not sure what the "Plus" adds), but I don't need to put on winter tires, so I truly use them in all conditions. So, all around they are good, but you do sacrifice a little on both ends of the spectrum. If you drive your car in the winter, based on where you live, I would guess you had a dedicated winter set-up? If so, you may want to go with one of the summer performance tires. I've heard good things about the F1s and the Potenza RE760.

just put Kumhos on my based on great reviews on tirerack.com. my 99 has bfgoodrich, but are summer tires. the kumhos are a/s.

kumhos have some flat spotting and a bit of chatter, but they seem pretty good. originally had goodyear eagle rs-a which seem to last a long time.

Try General Exclaim UHP's from Tire Rack. Great summer tires with low noise and great wear. Had them on my E36 M3 and have them on my wifes G35. Very inexpensive and great bang for the buck but sidewalls not as stiff as some higher prices tires. None the less, best bang for the buck for everyday use. I plan to get them on my 545i sport when the dealer's Dunlop run-flats wear out.

+1 very underrated tire over all for price compared to performance.
