Ok - first off - anyone who's a regular here knows that what I'm about to ask is a subject nothing short of beating a dead horse (not to be explicit :))..

I purchased a VERY NICE (brand new) set of M166 take-off's from a delightful chap last week over on the M5board that came to me with the stock Contisport rubber.
The sizes are: 285/35/19 (rear) & 255/40/19 (front).

My question is an EASY one: WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT FOR MY 545I??!!
Should I keep the rear Contisports (285/35/19) and just order matching front rubber in the correct size? (I already went-ahead and did this by the way) :( Or should I go ahead and buy completely new rubber all the way around and sell the stock Contisport rubber?

My reasoning for the question is two-fold: First, I'm aware that the Contisports aren't the best tire compared to the PS/2's, etc.
Second, I'm concerned about the 35 series tires on the rear.

I've already spoken to a few very helpful people (you know who you are) about this and they've indicated that the stock M5 rear rubber is ok for the 545/550 but the front's HAVE to be changed to 35 series to clear the fender.
Long story short - Les Schwab promised me they'd take-off the crap T1R's they stuck me with on my stock 18's if I got rims that weren't bent and came back. So they're taking back the used rubber with 5000 miles on em as long as i repurchase new rubber with them for these M166 (M5) rims.
So I just ordered the Contisport XL model that matches the BMW treadpattern M5 stock rear rubber.
SHOULD I STOP THE ORDER FROM GOING THROUGH (TIRE RACK IS SHIPPING THE CONTI'S TO LES SCHWAB THIS WEEK)? Or should I just be happy with it?

Hope this makes sense..

Thanks for ANY and ALL input.

-Cheers.

Erm, I think I followed. (Nice choice on the 166s, BTW; looking for some myself).

Go with the 35's you're getting from Les Schwab and then stand over the tire tech like a hawk when he puts them on. I've found with places like that if I am lurking in the bay, they're a little more careful. And if they spout any rules about customers not being near their work area, I tell them I'll take my car elsewhere.

Best of luck.
