Hey guys,
I just got off the phone with my Dad, who said that he was driving the E60 when he got a flat tire warning. He examined the rear tires and found them worn down to the cords, and the car wasn't even safe to drive. Obviously, from the forum, we all know the defects of the Dunlap RFTs. The problem is, he already took the car in to a tire shop to get the tires changed, and he had two NON-RFT Dunlap tires fitted to the rear wheels. He told me the front tires are starting to show wear as well. We should be elegible for new tires from BMW under warrenty, however he already paid $500 for the new tires. What do you guys reccomend we do? We can't really take the new tires off and put the old ones back on before going to the dealership. Will BMW reimburse for the new tires? The car has approx 12,000 miles on it. Thanks |

Also tell your dad to check his tires more often ! |
