Our new E70 has arrived. I would love to keep the E60 but the wife wants an SUV. I would miss this car terribly but it's time to move on. This car has been a joy to drive over the past 3 years and never gave me any problems whatsover. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that my wife will change her mind.

Below are the photos of our new E70 that was dropped off at the dealership this morning. Pardon the photo quality as it was taken from my phone.

does that have the "M" package?

just a random question, but really what is the obsession with SUVs amongst chicks?

Great question. If I knew the answer, I wouldn't be in this predicament. One thing I learned from being married for 18 years is that there are battles you just can't win. An E70 is not a bad replacement for the E60. Just different.

HOT!!! And great interior color. I love those wheels, especially in black. I've been looking at E70s for a few months now. Would love to have second vehicle. Of course a used one but its got to be the 44 or 48. My client and I were talking cars yesterday and I found he has the M X5, my jaw dropped!!

This is from an ex of mine, so YMMV. She said that she likes to sit higher and see the road better, and that driving a bigger vehicle (truck), makes her feel safer/empowering.

Crazy white girls.

I know for my wife, she was in a few bad accidents a long time ago, one being in an SUV. She feels that our Suburban is safer given it's size. She also says she "likes to be up higher" than in a normal car. Bbeing able to carry all her crap and the kids is an advantage too. I have to agree with her about having space to carry crap. Many times I have had to use the Suburban to bring home purchases that we would have not been able to transport if we both had 4-door sedans, and she loves to throw that one in my face whenever I bring up the topic of getting her a new, smaller vehicle..

What I don't get is this new trend of women buying 4x4 trucks..
