I think you will be happy with new springs for both looks and handling. Only thing is with the age of your car you might want to get struts at the same time (doesn't cost any more for the install to do both at once). Lowering springs are tougher on struts and to start with worn ones I would worry how long your originals would last.
I'm more conservative on spacers, so personally I would only go with 10-12mm.

Any suggestions on where to buy the springs, struts and spacers? The struts are a good idea, just like to check on the cost.
