i have an EU 2005 520i. when i reverse, my mirrors do not tilt down, even when i have the button to the passenger side.

is it a standard or an option? or is my tilting malfunctioning?

Button slid to the driver's side for control of the passenger-side tilt, when in reverse. I know it is counterintuitive, but that is how it works, if yours works at all.

Its linked to the Memory Seats option. So if you have any seats with the Memory option you will get it, otherwise no.

If you haven't got it, it is very easy to do it using the ordinary mirror controls. I do this frequently to make sure I don't scuff the alloys. I personally wouldn't waste money on the option, unless you have money available to waste
