Default Throttle body unplugging

This may be a strange question but if i unplug the throttle body, do i need to do a throttle position re-set via soft ware, i only ask this as i had a Seat Leon Cupra R and the throttle position would need re-setting with Vag Com every time the throttle was unplugged, just wondered if it was the same on the BM

Just in case it matters; the car is a E61 535d MSport (05)

No.

I am assuming the key won't be in the ignition while you are doing whatever you are doing.

No, but neither was The Seat but the realignment still needed to be done.
