I get 3 loud beeps when I am driving, today it happened in a parking lot. Is it coming from the real time traffic update? I am not sure what is going on. There are no error indicators on the screen. What could this be?

It's your car telling you that it has come to the top of the hour!
It can be turned off through the iDrive!

are you serious? Hourly chime? At one point I almost thought it was a warning chime when cops are nearby like a radar because it conveniently beeped a few times like that when I was around cops! ahah thanks guys

I have never heard of the hour chime. Never saw this in the iDrive. I would never enable it because another GONG would really displease me, but where would that be? LOL

Man, the GF and I were like WTH is this beeping noise wondering what is wrong with the car. We never paid attention to the time when it beeped.
