I just bought a 2008 CPO 550i with Sport Package. The car is loaded...even has aftermarket tint on all windows...which I can't decide if I like or not. I've never had tinted windows on any of my cars and can't tell if it looks pimped out or not. It's pretty dark...I'd guess 20 or 25 % so I'm not sure if it's even legal here. The last thing I need is to get pulled over after a couple of pops for the tint and get nailed for a DUI. The dealer said he would have it professionally removed as part of the deal and I'm torn. Please help...pics to follow but looking for general comments now.

Thanks!

35% 3M Tint is the way to go except I don't have any pictures sorry.

15% Tint. IMO

LLumar has always been a good one or 3M is great too. I've read that 3M is great for application involving GPS due to no metallic materials in the tint so less interference. I have not heard about this in regards to LLumar. But DEFINATELY 15% and the way it will look depends on your interior. I've always had charcoal or black interior. You know it gets hot in Ohio in summer just the same so you'll need that extra filtering.

Here, I'll post a few pics of 15% on my previous cars.... not at home but I have these pics with me... In the pics of the E60 you can make out my E46 sedan in the corner and my other E46 coupe in the other corner both 15% My G35 was also 15% I used LLumar on these.

Thanks for the feedback, guys...looking for more. Here are some pics of the car from the detailers lot...I know it's a cloudy day so probably hard to tell what the percentage is (plus they're from my lame blackberry camera - can't figure out how to rotate...my bad) and the car has black interior, but let me know your thoughts: keep as is or have the tint removed?

Also, if it's professionally removed, can they get it ALL off? Or will there always be some remaining residue?

Thanks again...

I think it looks awesome! Assuming it's legal, I'd keep it. I wish we could tint our fronts in CA. Sweet ride

ahaha that kind of looks like my car! i bought my car like this too, not sure what % it has but im sure its gotta be like 10-25% atleast. Can't even see the inside of my car at all! I like it but its extremely hard to see at night. And yes, if done professionally they can easily get it all off.

Keep it! I have 20% and I kept getting pulled over because I had tint and no front plate. Put the plate on and havent gotten pulled over since. Just don't drink and drive!

I just had 35% FormulaOne Pinnacle installed last Friday, love it. Make sure you have a good guy doing the removal if you go that route.
