Default thoughts on switching to 535i

So I bought a 2007 530i fully loaded, awesome car I'm in love with it but, im more interested in speed. So I was thinking about selling my wrx and taking the cash to buy a 535i.
I guess I'm curious with you all who have a 535i if its worth what I want to do.
My wrx is currently a fast car over 400,whp but I'm kinda over the kid car, and would like to invest in a better car.
I know most of you use Cobb ap. I am very familiar with Cobb ap as I have it for my wrx. So I would buy Cobb ap for the 535 as my 1st mod.
I need some guidance here and feedback on mods with what I can do with it. I'm looking to see if I can get 400 whp possible with out changing to larger turbos.

They say the 535 is the holy grail of performance, fuel economy, and modding. I have a 550i and though it is just slightly faster on paper, i would have gone for a 335 if i had known better at the time. I just assumed a 550 was bigger, better, faster until i did my research. I do appreciate the v8 sound though!

Also BMW reports the 335/535 is their best selling models in their respective classes.

Get 335i for speed 535i extra weight but more leg room, I'm 6'3 so I went with 535i. Be aware there are a few more readily available engine mods for 335i since the demand is higher with those smalller lighter vehicles.

How do you figure that the 535 weighs much more than the 335? My Z4 weighs more than my 530. One would never guess. E60 is not a heavy car at all. Look......

2011 335
Curb Weight MT 3593
Curb Weight AT 3605

2010 535
Curb Weight MT 3660
Curb Weight AT 3703

I'm taller as well so 535 is the way to go. Do you have any modifications on your 535?

My Ride: Alpine White 2010 535 M-Sport
Default

I just bought my 535i in July.. Was focused on the 550 for a long while, but gave the 535i a test drive since it was local, had the M-sport package and was white (a deal breaker for me). I was extremely surprised. After driving it, my research showed that the v8 only added 60 bhp over the N54 engine in the 535. With a few mods, the 535 can be as quick as you want it to be..just minus the v8 sound.. Happy hunting.

The M-sport package is what sold me on the 550i, i didnt care for the v8 gas burner but i do love it, the sound is great. I was close to buying a 335i but i am 6'3 so i need the extra room and there arent many 550i's in my area so i feel special. I see 535i's all over the place and i dont want to deal with turbo issues down the line since i will be keeping this car for 4+ years.

If you want 400+ HP you mind as well get a 335i + JB4 and down pipes. to get the 535i from 300 HP to 400 HP will require more upgrades than the 335i.
