Why not an M5...
Growing up my father always had a 911.
Now his age with small children I would rather have an M5.
4 doors, and the same performance.

Given your circumstances, get the 997S - no doubt.
I needed more room and an auto transmission so I narrowed it down to the 545 and Audi A6.
If the 997 has a DSG transmission, it may have turned out differently. There was no way I was going to drive a 997 with a traditional auto.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of high rev engine with low torque. Torque is fun. We're wondering why Europeans love 535d, right? It's because of its torquey engine and high mileage. It's totall opposite to M5.

Get the Porsche, I would love to own a 911 but because I have 2 year old and always hauling around ppl so I ordered the M5, my current 530i will stay as my daily driver, but I wish I had two different cars... 1 coupe 1 sedan and 1 suv is all anyone ever needs..lol
