I love my car, really, but It's a tad boring... I rarely drive with a passenger and if so - it's my wife, my back seats are most likely intact...
Seriously considering a 997S... will test drive one tomorrow... I dunno... what do you guys (& ladies) think?

Well as someone who went from 5 series to 911 it is obvious wha tI would say at this point. For sure the 911 is not boring. However, make sure if this is going to be a daily driver you know what you're getting into. It is not and will not be quite, and comfy like the 5. It is a true sports car in every sense of the word, and if you know that and expect that going in then you will be fine. Just be aware that these are very different cars and serve very different purposes. I knew this going in, and drive mine every day. It is somewhat loud, somewhat uncomfortable at time, can wear you out after a log trip, BUT I smile like crazy every time I drive it and know it is what it is. So with that I say OF COURSE GET THE 997S!

Um, consider these options. 1) keep the 5er and join a sky diving club. 2) get the 997S. and 3) hire a lawyer and pretend your Clive Owen when driving the 550.

BUT.... a tad boring compared to a Porsche yes. But the driving also makes up for the fun factor. Try to slide it at around 100km/h or so and keep it in control and then flick into oposite turn and powerslide the way out and then tell me if it's boring. I'm sometimes a nut giving advice like this... Oh did i mention this in town to make things more interesting? Like not in heavy traffic but in light traffic...hey but that's not a track.

Yes man...i kinda agree with you. I'm in the same situation as you regarding the extra unused space. My recomandation is to go for the Porsche. Go for it. It's much better this way and you'll never regret it. If you stick with it you'll regret not going with the porsche sooner or later.

Seriously considering a 997S...
If I make enough money, I will keep both e60 and 997.
