I think $22,900 for an '05 545 66k miles is a very good deal. Especially if you can validate it has no damage history.

If you can get a little more knocked off the price, it makes it even sweeter. Buy the extended warranty as a precaution however.

I think this is a pretty good deal as I've been researching these for a few months now since I just bought mine as well. I got mine for $22,000 just 2 weeks ago (specs in signature...very similar, notably no nav as well) and this was the best price I had seen (miles considered) in the 3-4 months I've been looking. The car probably specs out on edmunds or NADA to at least 28,000 or perhaps higher.

I would obviously take it for a drive...preferably on two separate days to check it out and then also get it checked out thoroughly by someone who is familiar with BMW's to make the most informed decision possible. And then do some negotiating...

Good luck with your decision...I'm biased obviously as I just made a similar decision for the affirmative but I couldn't be happier. Go for it.

So I found a 05' 545I at a very small local dealership.......

specs:

asking- $22,995

2005
545I
Auto
66k miles
Jet Black with black
Fully loaded
no warranty -
1 owner
it was a lease car from BMW that they bought at an auction

I was looking at getting a BMW CPO 525I/530I low mileage....for the same price I can get this 545I but it has no warranty... I guess I could always buy a aftermarket warranty ? the asking price is really low...which makes me suspicious....
That's within a couple of thousand $$$ for what they're going for at wholesale auctions, but I'd still negotiate up from $21K or so. I'm no expert, but I suggest checking with a BMW service manager to run the service records (I personnaly know people that have hidden 1 car accidents from the cops and their insurance agents), I'd have a mechanic give the car a $200 once-over, and then I would grab an extended warranty.
