Regardless, the v8 5er is a lot of car for $22.9 asking. Obviously, the more options the better, but if it has sport and cold weather, thats I'll I really need. Definately buy a warranty, then enjoy!

It looks like a sweet deal, but you can get a 530i with that many miles with nav for the same price.

Appears to have cold package and sport. Does not have Nav.. Its not loaded by any means. But equipped with a few of the important opitions.
Price seems about fair for a 05 545i with 66K miles. When you get over that 50K marker(warranty) on these cars the price seems to drop a solid 5K compared to the same car with 40K in miles. If I had to guess he paid around 20K gave or take a grand on the car from auction.
Things to look at coming off auction.............
Brakes
Tires
Check I Drive service screen see if anything is coming up quickly
Check the vehicle service history (very important)
Most used 5's are very well kept up since the warranty basically covers everything and maintance. So you know your getting very well cared for car 95% of the time. So if everything checks out good I'd say 22k is a fair deal (might beable to squeeze a little more out of it). I'd try to get him to knock off around $800 or so and use the money saved to put towards an aftermarket warranty. One repair can easily pay for the warranty as these cars quite often require the dealership to do the work due to the heavy electronics/computer and sensors in them. We all know what the dealership likes to charge for anything

My Ride: 2004 545i TITANIUM GREY II on Black Dakota Lthr, Comfort Seats, Sports PKG, Premium PKG, Active/Dynamic Drive, NAV, Winter Package.
No Nav for sure you can tell from the screen shoot and no DVD slot. Car does not have Comfort Seats, steering wheel is not the sport steering that typically comes with the sports package. Since the car has no warranty I WOULD NOT buy it. You cannot drive these cars with no warranty..........

So I found a 05' 545I at a very small local dealership.......
specs:
asking- $22,995
2005
545I
Auto
66k miles
Jet Black with black
Fully loaded
no warranty -
1 owner
it was a lease car from BMW that they bought at an auction
I was looking at getting a BMW CPO 525I/530I low mileage....for the same price I can get this 545I but it has no warranty... I guess I could always buy a aftermarket warranty ? the asking price is really low...which makes me suspicious....
