I thought I had dodged the HPFP and TT problems so far... good luck
Went in to the dealer a couple of weeks ago for the dreaded check engine light, "engine malfunction, reduced power" and longer than normal crank times.
I also had slight ticking from what I assume was rattling wastegates.
They did the software upgrade for the ticking... no lag actually, and the ticking had stopped.
They couldn't find any problem with the HPFP, high and low side pressures were within specs.
Next day, the check engine light came on again.
Took it back in, and they replaced the HPFP.
Got the car back, started fine, but the rattle was back, and worse than before.
Then the check engine light started coming on again.
Third time back at the dealer, and HPFP is okay, but they got a strange fault from the turbos, and have contacted Der Fuerer for replacement protocol. So I guess I'm getting a new turbo as well.
Will the new turbo be covered under another warranty, or do I basically have 3,000 miles left on this new turbo under the original warranty?
Fun days.
BTW, my dealer has been more than accomodating, and easy to deal with throughout the process.

I'm pretty sure the "new" replacement part is covered under its own 2 yr warranty even when you go out of warranty for the car
