I don't know that I'd push them out as far as possible, that might introduce some strain into the trunk latch. I'd just twist them out enough to stop the contact.

Trunk finisher purchased "getbmwparts.com". Its actually Tischer BMW based in SilverSpring MD.
I got mine shipped for 170/-- last week
