You're in Fresno, so check out Willow Springs or Streets of Willow or even Laguna Seca. The BMW club should have a schedule on line for when they rent this tracked for HPDE or Open-Track sessions.

Have fun,
Randy...

Just some advice ... not sure if you go to the track often; I learnt this the hard way ..

a) Dump & replace all fluids/oils after your track run ... might cost a little, but your car run soooo much better after
b) When you pull up after going ape-shit on the track - DO NOT engage the hand brake, find a flat surface and put it in Park only ... let the brakes cool down
... I made that mistake ... the brake pads were that hot ... they almost bonded to the discs ... expensive lesson

Have fun! ... I'm green with envy!

Thanks for the tips... How many laps did you take on the track before trying to put the car in park? I hope the drilled brakes will keep them cool.

We went ballistic for about 45-50 mins ... fuel was running out .. thus had to pit
... ideally leave the car for about 30-45 mins before engaging the park brake ... your wallet will love you! (haha)

I wish I could drive a V10 ... but the M5 in Australia is about $250K AUD ($215K USD) ... same as the Audi R8 with the 4.2l V8
... sorry boys, I'm BMW through & through .... but for that sort of coin ... the R8 has far more pussy potential ..
