The KBB price is around $47,000 for that car, so I would say that it's not a bad deal... but just my opinion.

I suggest to get a late 04 545. I got one in excellent and fully loaded condition for 38K with 37K miles. You will also get CPO deal 2.9% financing with first 2 payments by BMWF

I paid 41.5k for my 04 545i with only 21k miles on it and it was a CPO at Sterling BMW. The interior and exterior condition was excellent and the car has all the expensive options like heated seats, cold weather package, 60/40 rear fold down, nav, CD changer, sat radio, voice command and so on. The one thing that helped me on the price is that it is a 6 speed manual so it would not be as easily sold as your smg car you are looking at.

Price looks high. I can tell you that I'm being offered about $30K for a trade of my car (it's a 2005, very loaded w/ 42K miles - but a 6-sp manual, which according to the dealer makes it hard to move.)
Go to KBB, Edmunds, Black Book, Galves, whatever used auto pricing site you want, and look up the wholesale or trade value, then add $2-3K for dealer profit - that's what it's worth. If you look up the retail value at any of the sites, it's very inflated - more like "dealer asking price" which is usually BS.
