I just recently got a great deal on an E60 535i Sport and I'm already thinking about getting some new wheels. What do you guys recommend for me...19 or 20 inchers? I know that 20s generally look better, but is there a noticeable loss in ride comfort? Please keep in mind that I have no plans to lower, so I shouldn't have to worry about rubbing as long as the offset is ok, huh?!?

Any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

in general, we usually recommend 19s if you plan on wheels without a lip since the face appears bigger with no lip. if you are planning to go with wheels that have a lip, best to go with 20s.

I put 20s on my car. Didn't hurt ride at all. Probably getting rid of the run flats was the best thing.

If you live and drive where the roads are good, get 20's - they just look better IMHO. If you live where the roads are bad, get 19's and save yourself a lot of heartache

I say 20"...look great, and since you don't gonna lower the car, these will fill up the arches really nice..

I have 20's with a 30 mm drop and have no rubbing at all....

ditto what NerWizzle said...20s if you want a lip.. 19s or 20s if no lip..

+1. I wish I lived somewhere where the roads were good enough for me to roll on 20s. Instead I have 19s. But even 19s are really too big for the potholed streets of Manhattan wherw I have trashed many tires and bent many rims.

I want a lip, and the roads in my part of Houston are actually pretty good. Sounds like 20's are in my future. I've done quite a bit of searching for information about proper offsets, and what I deduce is that I will need spacers for the TSW wheels that I'm considering. The size of the wheels are 20x8.5 20 offset fronts; 20x10 25 offset rears. If I need spacers, what size will I need?

NYC eats 19's for lunch...
