Thermostat Replacement and also temp sensor replacement

I need help!!!!!!!!!!! I went to the dealership and the increased emission light was on because of thermostat and temp sensor, so instead of paying BMW i ordered the parts from the net.. thinking it will be an easy fix now i need a step by step on how to change it.. been all over the web cannot find anything... Appreciation in advance!
