I am just curious if there is an easy way to disable the cold weather warning,
it is pretty pointless to me, and I know the weather is cold outside
I think most people would agree that the warning is totally unnecessary

so,
is there a way to turn off the warning?

p.s. I live in NJ, so the car basically beeps every day i start the car, lol

It goes away on its own ... I personally find it very useful when temps are above 37 degrees but drop so it alerts of possible freezing / road icing conditions.

I really like the little snowflake diagram. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside first thing in the morning, and all through the day. We haven't seen north of 37F in a few weeks!

I think it's pretty cool to see that yellow snowflake! :P Seriously, this time of year the temp bounces between 30 and 35 quite a bit and it's nice to know when the wet road may actually have some slick spots.

As was commented, if the temperature is consistently below 37F, the alarm let's you know it once then isn't heard from again, so I don't see the problem. If the temperature is hovering around 37, below some then above in places (where it's sunny, for example), then drops below in the shade, an additional reminder is probably worth more than the the downside irritation you seem to feel. On the other hand, you could just turn up the L7 when in these conditions so as to not be reminded, and then miss the black ice on that corner and sail over the cliff. All in the choices you want to make. For my preference, the warning is more helpful than a bother.

Hahaha I live in Bonita Springs and the Cold Weather Warning came on today. That's how cold it is down here. :P

Funny you mention it, I just got my first cold weather warning this morning on the way to work -- hard to believe that it's that cold down here in Sunny Orlando!

It got as low as 30F and will be dipping lower tonight. :cool:

that feature was pretty cool the first few days, then it got really annoying. especially when it beeps again and again.
