is there a DIY for replacing the oil filter housing seals? Got the car back from BMW and they wrote: "Oil filter housing seals starting to leak. Recommendations: rec replace seals and clean. leak just started" - $515.11 Other one was replace battery $489.
How hard is it to replace a seal?

I also been reading on batteries. Everyone has their opinion. Which one do you like?

Autozone 95R-DLG
Wallmart Maxx-94R or Maxx-H8
Sears Diehard Gold H6/48
Interstate Battery Mega-tron plus http://www.interstatebatteries.com/cs_eStore/Content.aspx?dsNav=Arpp~12,A~Part+Number,N~21-2147384880-4294493536-4294492366-2147384903,Nr~AND%28P_unique_id%3aMTP-48%2fH6|BMW_525i|2007_Standard+Battery_L6%2f3.0L%2 9

The 95R battery from Autozone or AdvancedAuto are drop-in replacements.

Here's a link from Bentley for the M54 engine. Looks pretty straight forward.

Maxx H8 is really OEM made in CZ.. good stuff.
Oil filter gaskets aren't hard and cost about $25 for the kit.
