The Bridgestone RE050A pole positions are on par with the PS2s, but at a lower price point.

The Bridgestone RE-01Rs, Yokohoma Advan Neova AD07s, Dunlop Sport Z1s and Toyo R1Rs should offer more overall grip than the PS2s, but are offered in limited sizes.

Bridgestone s03 PP are comparable to mich ps2s.

re050 is just a summer perferomance tire

s03s and ps2s which i have both used are "ultra performance" tires just below the track/cup rated tires.

i have not tried the goodyear tires or the yoko advans which are the new ultra performance tires that im told are good.

if the op is looking for ultra performance like ps2s i would stick to ps2s or s03s or yoko advans.

if you wanted not ultra performance then stick wiht the goodyear or toyo n such

S03s and S02s are older technology and have been replaced by the RE050As and RE050A Pole Positions. The PS2s and the like are rated as "max" performance tires. The other tires I listed in my post above, are rated as "extreme" performance tires, which is a notch above the PS2s.

The RE050A and PS2 are rated in in the same category... Both are rated max performance summer tires.

Can't ignore RE050 and PS2, they both are very good tyre.

But can't beat the F1 Asymmetric's price, they are the cheapest in the range and always performs top in the chart.
Definetly will be the next on my 5er

May very well be the next tire on my 911 too. I have Pirelli P-Zero Rosso's right now, the Pirelli is a good tire but I think I'll give the Asymmetrics a try next time round

(Update - next time round was 3/5/08, the Asymmetrics weren't available in 295/30/19 so I just got a set of PS2s)

p.s i wouldnt ignore the yoko advan tires

i have used

s03s
ps2
and yokos

and they are all very good compared to each other... unforutnatly have not tried the new re's as when i had s03s they were very noisy and i was quiete pleased wiht the ps2s... yokos are about the same performance as the ps2s and cheaper.
