Nah, its all in good fun, my friend. I think we've all been helpful in some spots, playful in others.

Keep smiling, its about all you can do to keep from going postal!

Good luck with everything. Your pics show how far back BMW sticks the engine. Also shows alot of aluminum, particularly looking at the engine block.

Was the estimate written? I guess it's not totalled, passenger cabin/cowl not compromised, no airbags deployed, rim/tire intact. What did the guy hit you across the nose forward of the front wheel?

UPDATE (01/11/08)...

I got a call from the shop manager today and the estimate as of today is a little over $26K. He needs to look over a few more things and will have the final estimate completed and sent to AllState on Monday. He did state that if repairs were done, it would take a few days to get the parts (I would expect longer) and about 30 days to complete the repairs (which sounds a little too good to be true to me). As of now, the estimate stands at about 50% which falls pretty short of the 80% "needed" to total as per AllState on a new vehicle.
Thoughts? Suggestions? At the very least... there is some progress.

Go to your family physician and feign a neck & back injury to squeeze $15k out of the insurance company...

Ha ha ha. Just kidding.

Glad the progress has begun.
