So I’m looking to see if anyone on here has experienced this issue before.

just picked up an 08 328i, the previous owner told me the SOS malfunction started happening a few weeks ago.

Now, fuse #37 5A (which I believe is labeled as phone?) keeps blowing the instant it’s plugged in. I popped a 10A (I know not the smartest thing to try) and it popped as well. Am I right in assuming that this blown fuse could be causing the SOS malfunction? I’m thinking the circuit is either shorted to ground only god knows where, or maybe the TCU has failed?

Any info or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

I have the iPhone Carly app, BimmerGeeks standard tools, and am currently downloading ISTA-D and ISTA-P

Here are the codes that Carly spits out, there are a lot of CAN Low line faults, but I figured chasing the cause of the blown fuse would be a good first step.

I have the iPhone Carly app, DimmerGeeks Standard Tool, and am currently installing ISTA-P and ISTA-D. When scan the car, I get a lot of CAN Low faults, as well as the fault for the phone. I just figured finding the short for the phone would be a good first step.
