I have had the 528i and 535i sedan, but only managers at the plant are allowed to get the 550i?s. So I convinced my buddy who is a manager to let us swap cars for the weekend and he agreed!! I have had his 550i since Saturday and will give it back to him tomorrow. I thought the 535 had power, its NOTHING compared to the 550i. That thing gets up quick quick quick!! I was able to take some pics of the car. Its Alpine White / Cream Beige. I hate BEIGE leather, but It definitely sets this car off!! He ordered a 550i - Jet Black / Gray Leather and will get it in May and im sure we will switch again!

Car in BMW Body Shop, estimated completion 01/24/07.
Maybe this is an alternative to the infamous thrice scheduled (at least) penetta vs 550i.... 
We'll take your word for it, at least until there's an actual head-to-head race result to compare to.

I smell a new 535 vs 550 thread starting , hemuts and flack jackets at the ready BAAAAAA ! Just think, this is a real BMW employee, so it must be a fact !!

I work for the plant in SC and im a supervisior. Regular employees can get the 3 / 5 / X5 / X3 / Z4 vehicles. Supervisiors and managers can get two vehicles and the 3 Convertibles. Mangers can get all and the 7.
